Our team have extensive experience in the childcare industry and are committed to offering first class, educational care for children in Beechworth & surrounds.
Mandy Holt is the Director of BCCC. Mandy has the qualifications, experience and training appropriate to the care of young children and is responsible for the overall management and administration.
Our director is supported by a team of early childhood professionals who are known in the community for providing a high standard of care. All educators work extremely hard to ensure each child has a sense of belonging, feels good about themselves and has fun!
Importantly, the staff support each other and are each other’s guides, mentors and friends. They set an excellent example for the children in their care. We can also boast a low staff turnover with our longest educator being with us for over 20 years.

The educators undertake a range of professional development including Music and Movement with Ladybirds, First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis updates.
Beechworth Community Childcare Centre provides children with lunch and two snacks each day as well as milk and water drinks.
Our catering officer prepares all the children’s meals and snacks on the premises. Our menu has been assessed by the Healthy Together Eating Advisory Service and meets the Menu planning guidelines for long day care.
Babies are offered food appropriate to their stage of development with “new” foods being introduced in consultation with parents.
Rachael is our amazing Catering Officer. She is an experienced and passionate cook who shops in town for our children every single morning.
Rachel buys locally sourced and in season produce whenever possible and buys from Arnolds Fruit and Vege, Beechworth Butchery and our local IGA. Make sure you say ‘hi’ as you see her working hard in the centre kitchen!

Have an excess of produce from your own garden? Rachael would love to use what you don’t need.
The Centre is managed by a Management Committee.
The Committee is elected annually at the AGM, held in October of each year. The Management Committee is the employing body and is responsible for major decisions made regarding the running of the centre.
All parents are invited to become a member of the committee and this can be done at any time during the year.
Becoming a committee member enables you to have a say in the decisions and plans that may affect your child. You will meet wonderful parents and get to know the amazing staff who spend so much time with your children. It is truly worthwhile!

You can tailor your involvement in the centre to your interests and skills. There are many different ways to get involved. We are in constant need of helpers in our garden and for minor repairs.
We also need parent help to run a number of fundraisers throughout the year including a sausage sizzle, cake stall, pie drive, Christmas raffle & trivia night.
